MDC

«Merge» - the intertwining.

Merge Dance Collective (MDC) is an collective of artists with the aim of carrying out various dance projects under fair conditions. Mutual inspiration through the different perspectives of the members and the respectful and sustainable handling of our personal, material and financial resources form the basic building blocks of our community.

Our projects arise from a personal urgency of the members and we value authenticity and contextualization. In our work we use contemporary, street and club styles. In doing so, we are looking for ways to deepen one's own artistic work and to live dance as a cultural practice.

We question norms and our privileges and are aware of the different realities of life. We want to enable cultural participation at all levels. Our perspective is shaped by intersectional feminism.

​The collective is organized as an association based in Winterthur and connected to the cantons of Thurgau and Bern.
